A man identified as David Daintree, aged 53, was found deceased in his residence shortly before 9:30 PM yesterday, as reported by local police authorities. The circumstances surrounding his death have led law enforcement to state that they had "no alternative" but to euthanize the XL bully due to its continued threat of serious harm to individuals in the vicinity.

Superintendent Marie Jackson of East Police expressed condolences regarding the tragic loss of life, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. She stated, "This is a tragic incident which has sadly resulted in a man losing his life, and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this time." An investigation is currently underway, and police are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with pertinent information to come forward.

The incident occurs in the context of recent legislative changes, as from February 1, it became a criminal offense to own an XL bully breed in England and Wales without an exemption certificate.
